Privacy Declaration
This privacy declaration is made available to you in order to inform you of the ways that ITEA San Diego (ITEA-SD) collects and uses identifying information for individuals such as you who visit ITEA-SD’s Web Site. ITEA-SD is committed to taking reasonable steps to protect information provided to us. From time to time, we may use this information to better serve our visitor’s needs. This statement explains what information is collected, how it may be used, and how you can take steps to safeguard your privacy.
Use of Information
ITEA-SD does not share or otherwise distribute any information collected by ITEA-SD with third parties. ITEA-SD maintains a member’s roster for purposes of communication with members, and collecting member’s dues at appropriate times. In the future, ITEA-SD may use this roster as the basis for an email database for purposes of sending newsletters and other information to the organization’s members.
Collection of Information
ITEA-SD collects and retains only “opt-in” information, that is, participants voluntarily share all information maintained by ITEA-SD. The information collected and maintained by ITEA-SD includes, but may not be limited to, an individual’s first name, last name, occupation, telephone number, email address, and company affiliation. ITEA-SD collects this information through these sources:
- Online registration through the web site
- Tradeshow/conference leads which were supplied by individuals to ITEA-SD
- Registration for ITEA events, either online or via telephone/fax
- Information supplied by individuals to ITEA-SD Representatives either by telephone, email or in person
These methods are not all-inclusive, and ITEA-SD may from time to time use other methods. In all cases, ITEA-SD will update the organization’s membership database only with information supplied voluntarily by individuals.
Individuals who wish to be removed from the ITEA-SD database may do so in the following ways:
- Send email to contact@www.itea-sd.org with a subject line “remove”. Please include the email address that is to be removed in the body of the message.
- Send a message to ITEA-SD through our Contact Web page. Please indicate your interest in being removed from our list, and also indicate the email address and other information that you wish to have removed
ITEA-SD will make every effort to remove addresses as quickly as possible on request, but the organization cannot guarantee that an individual will not receive at least one message from ITEA before the database is updated.
